Graduate: American Society of Plant Taxonomists‘ Graduate Student Research Award “. . . to conduct fieldwork, herbarium studies, and/or laboratory research in any area of plant systematics.” Past applications due in February/March.
Graduate/early career: Aspire Grant Program to “. . . empower African individuals who are actively contributing to the preservation and sustainable management of the remarkable biodiversity found in the Congo Basin” who are from “Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Central African Republic, Rwanda, Uganda and São Tomé and Príncipe”. Past deadlines in June.
Graduate/undergraduate: Sigma Chi Grants in Aid of Research for research! Deadlines on March 15th and October 1st of each year.
Travel awards

Early career: Laura Bassi Scholarship for “. . . providing editorial assistance to postgraduates and junior academics whose research focuses on neglected topics of study, broadly construed, within their disciplines . . . ” for “. . . editorial assistance for master’s theses, doctoral dissertations, and academic journal articles”.
